We are located in Kampala-Uganda

Sta Wing For Women Programs.

We have witnessed tremedous challenges and devastation in the communities we serve and to help curb these injustices (Violence,Abuse,Poverty,illiteracy,HIV/AIDS among others) we empower communities more especially women who seem to be marganalised to protect our youth and to encourage healthy behavior free from binge drinking and other forms of alcohol abuse..

Community House Visits.

Sanitation

This is one of the core elements that we promote and ensure that it is kept important through our advocacy and campaigns that we do especially with the pit-latrines and trench cleaning. Many of the communities lack pit-latrine and washrooms to use and those available are shared by many people thus making it impossible for them to be kept in the right clean state. We have promoted sanitation through emptying of many pit latrines and cleaning of trenches.
Sanitation, many communities are in dire situations and many children are often suffering the effects together with their mothers and what we noticed the most to be a hindering problem is the poor and no pit latrines in certain communities.
Majority of the communities are very congested, overcrowded and unhealthy especially in terms of pit latrines and those with pit latrines are in a poor states and have led to many get infections which were costing us so much to treat and thus we were driven to dig more of what best solution we could use so as to lessen the challenge. We were able to put up two pit latrines for two families, we have emptied many pit latrines in various communities so as to promote proper hygiene, control and reduce on the spread of diseases and helping protect mothers(Women) and children.

Medical Care/ Assistance.

This is one of the most important element in anybody’s life, However in many communities, families are unable to afford medical care especially the women who are often left to be the bread winners and heads of the families and this not only hardens the situation as they often have to pick and forego certain basic needs in order to provide for the other. Many children have lost their parents to HIV/AIDS which is literally devastating much of Uganda and creating millions of orphans not only in Uganda but the whole World. There are many other diseases/illnesses affecting families such as Malaria, Typhoid, Kwashiorkor, sickle cells, Diarrhoea, Red eyes among others.

Our favorite part of our Medical Care/Assistance is that we have a chance to offer comfort, love, and hope to people in need. We form a valuable bond when we are there during their hard times, when we cry with them and care for them. A relationship is built during this time, and trust is established. We learn their stories and find better ways of helping them through Doctors and at times specialists where further help is needed.

Bed A Family.

We believe that God’s love is what cultivates true resilience and strength in the face of adversity, so we make it our priority to share His Word and hope in Christ to underserved communities. By turning to the Bible, the grandmothers, single mothers, and widows who have taken it upon themselves to care for the vulnerable children of their communities are comforted and empowered to live a life full of purpose. We ensure that we include community in our works that way we are able to prevent more children from joining the streets of Kampala. It is always shocking to see how bad many families sleep, witness young children having to share with mature people at times people of opposite which is always hard and devastating due to the outcomes that we have seen prevail and to help curb down on the challenges of families, we always help “Bed a Family” meaning we help provide mattresses, blankets, Decker beds, Bed sheets and towels for children.

Over the years, we’ve distributed over 85 plus Mattresses together with blankets and bed sheets, Decker to those most in need of physical rest. In various communities we reach out too, many of the children we serve are HIV+, and nearly all of them have lost their parents to HIV/AIDS or have one parent and at times abandoned at infancy. To them, having a Mattress to sleep on means protection against coldness, insects, and diseases. It also means hope for better tomorrow, as a good night’s sleep helps them feel healthy, rested, and worthy. The joy is always unending.

Fill the Bottle.

Through this program, we provide milk to single and young teenage mothers in need of it to feed their babies. Many of the infected mothers are unable to breastfeed and some women struggle with what to eat and hence providing milk to them enables them to look after their babies. This is one of the most vital projects and we hope to add more women to the list.

Community Involvement.

We work closely with the community and family through various programs to prevent the kids from going to the streets again. We directly involve the community leaders in the matters that are affecting their people and children. Together we come up with solutions for the problems through the different activities we involve them in.

These programs include awareness creation programs, community sensitization programs, mobile medical camps and advocacy programs, parental sensitisation, drug and HIV/AIDS counseling and sensitization programs among others. In the process a strong bond is created between us, the children`s families and the community hence preventing the child from running away from home again. There is no way we can possibly operate without including the families in the different communities that we operate since most children come from these areas.

Feed A Family.

We have supplied a lot of food stuffs to many families in different communities so as to ease on the burden that mothers are usually left with, many homes are single headed by women and they are the bread winners of the families that are usually consisting of 10-15 plus people including children, relatives and friends and often living in improper and worse conditions.

We realized many children were leaving their homes due to the lack of food and hence to solve the increasing number of children joining the streets, we took it upon ourselves to provide and feed the different families that were/are in deseperate need.

Family Empowerment/Sustainability.

We start up income generating projects for a child`s family in order to improve their well-being and keep the children happily settled at home. We have done this through setting up small scale farming projects for the families, poultry, and setting up small enterprises for the families. We do this in order for the resettled children to be able to acquire all the needed materials while at home and ensure there is sustainability among others.

We realized as much as we resettle the street children without solving the particular reason as to why they left their homes in the first place, many of them end up running back to the streets. To solve the problems of this sort we ensure that we empower the families so that the children can have access to the basic needs.

Standing in prayer.

We believe life change happens through relationships. In fact, relationships are part of our core values. Through relationships, we answer the call God asks of each one of us – to love one another as He loves us. It doesn’t stop there. Not only does God ask us to love our brothers and sisters, but while loving them, He also commands us to “go and make disciples and we have done this in the communities we operate in and serve.

The world is full of darkness and we need to have people by our side that always push us towards the light, and we are thankful for the opportunity we get every time to serve and communicate God’s love to the many women and children that we meet and continue to lead to God through our activities. God is writing His story in the lives of many families through these connections every day, and we are excited to witness the life changes He is creating through relationships.

“Bear one another’s burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ”. Galatians 6:2

Karamajong Women.

Many of these children come with their mothers and they are welcomed by the socking life and hardships of the streets, some of these mothers struggle to find what to eat and ending up turning into begging mothers on the streets which is very devastating to watch and see mothers plus their young babies run after cars begging for small change, we cannot help but wonder and think of the situations where these kids get knocked by the car and abandoned among others. We have programs where we extend foods to them and assisting with the medical care for now.
